Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi, commended the positive results of the Saudi-US Summit, which included several agreements and MoUs that will effectively help the implementation of the Saudi Vision 2030, and foster the strategic and economic cooperation and sustainable partnership between the two countries.
Al Rajhi stated the agreements reflect the aligning economic endeavours of Saudi Arabia and the United States at the public and private sectors’ level, which will maintain their long-term relations. He added that the two sides signed the Joint Strategic Vision Declaration, among other trade and investment agreements, estimated at USD 280 billion. The agreements cover various sectors, including military, energy, technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, petrochemicals, oil and gas, mining, human resources, healthcare, transportation, and real estate.
The CSC Chairperson added that the agreements will inject momentum into the Saudi-US relations, and generate significant results pertaining to transferring US technology into various sectors of the Saudi market. The agreements will also contribute to creating jobs in both countries, developing various economic sectors in the Kingdom, and creating new promising industries and investment opportunities.
Al Rajhi pointed to the positive discussions that took place during the Saudi-US CEOs Forum, which saw participation from over 90 companies from Saudi Arabia, the US, and worldwide. The Forum, held under the slogan “Partnership for Generations”, signifies a new school of thought in Saudi-US trade relations, which transcends seizing investment opportunities, to include maintaining a sustainable partnership into the future to benefit upcoming generations, and foster the two nations’ prosperity. Al Rajhi stated that the Forum included briefings to the US side on the role of the Saudi private sector in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 and privatization projects, and the Kingdom’s keenness on enhancing its business environment.
The CSC Chairperson concluded his statement by thanking the Saudi leadership, on behalf of the business community, for its efforts – led by King Salman – in fostering Saudi-US relations, and commended the positive results following the US President’s visit, which will be positively reflected in the two countries trade relations, through the significant contribution of their respective business sectors.
