China-Argentina Trade and Investment Forum, hosted by CCPIT and Embassy of Argentina in China, was held in Beijing on May 16. Mauricio Macri, President of Argentina and CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei attended the forum and delivered speeches.

Jiang Zengwei said, CCPIT is willing to work with Argentina’s trade promotion agencies to jointly host trade and investment matchmaking meetings to foster cooperation for Chinese and Argentine companies. Jiang added, Chinese enterprises are encouraged to import top quality products from Argentina and invest in this South American country.

Macri noted, Argentine and Chinese economy are complementary with each other. Some powerful Chinese enterprises, such as COFCO, Huawei, COSCO and ZTE have launched businesses in Argentina and experienced good development. Macri expected to see more Chinese companies invest in Argentina.

Nearly 100 Chinese and Argentine enterprises in fields of agriculture, infrastructure construction, technology, energy, mining, tourism, logistics, financing, legal service, automobile and mechanic equipment attended the forum.
