At the U.S. Chamber Foundation, we work daily to help businesses maximize the impact of their corporate citizenship investment. Through our events, research, and content, the Corporate Citizenship Center has grown both the scope and size of our work year after year—however we can’t do it alone. Much of our success is due to our incredible board of advisors, every year this group of leaders from the businesses and chambers dedicate their time and talent to help CCC refine its strategy and create a greater impact. Which is why I’m excited to share the newest members of our board—along with our new board chair.
First, it’s an honour to announce that long-time board member Hugh Welsh will serve as Board Chair starting May 1, 2017. Hugh is the President & General Counsel of DSM North America—a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials. DSM’s purpose is to create brighter lives for people today and generations to come by connecting its unique competences in life sciences and materials sciences which drive economic prosperity, environmental progress and social advances. DSM is a leader in the corporate citizenship space, and Hugh’s vision for the future of business and dedication to solving the world’s most complex challenges through private sector innovation will help propel the Corporate Citizenship Center to even greater success.
We also have four new board members joining the CCC Advisory Board:
- Tony Carvajal, Executive Vice President, Florida Chamber Foundation
- Michael Jacobson, President and CEO, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Arlington, Texas
- Elizabeth Lipscomb, Vice President of Strategic Alliances, Discovery Education
