The II Ibero-American Summit on SMEs was organized by the Ibero-American General Secretariat, SEGIB, the Council of Ibero-American Businessmen, CEIB, and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, CEOE. Entrepreneurs from different countries of Latin America, Portugal and Spain participated to address issues of interest to SMEs, such as public policies to promote companies, the boost that business organizations can give to their development, multilatinas as an opportunity for inclusion in global value chains, good practices, new public and private financial instruments, and contributions from regional banks for their internationalization.
Experts at the Forum analyzed public policies to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by studying cases open to collaboration between SMEs, productive transformation, or innovation as a basis for internationalization. They also addressed the inclusion of MSMEs in the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Digital Ecosystem in the Region, skills and training in digitalization, and the contributions of these companies to the Sustainable Development Goals, ODS, among other important issues.
The Forum concluded after an audience with His Majesty King Felipe VI.
