China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) vowed to enhance cooperation to jointly promote links between Chinese and Indian business communities.
Both sides made the agreement as the CCPIT Vice Chairman Zheng Shenfeng and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee held a meeting in Beijing on March 25.
Zhang Shenfeng said, China and India are world’s two largest emerging markets and developing country. The two countries are important economic and trade cooperation partners and bear broad prospects in bilateral cooperation. CCPIT is willing to enhance policy coordination, and economic and trade information sharing with CII to provide services for Indian and Chinese enterprises by hosting roundtable dialogues to create exchange platforms.
Banerjee said, CII attached importance to the cooperation relations with CCPIT. He hoped both sides can promote two-way investment between Indian and Chinese enterprises and foster cooperation in SMEs development, mobile and e-commerce, mechanical engineering exhibition, etc.
