Scott Eisner, president of the U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-Africa Business Center, released the following statement regarding the Trump administration’s announcement of a new Africa strategy:
“The U.S.-Africa Business Center welcomes the Trump administration’s renewed focus on supporting the competitiveness of American business on the African continent. As the leading organization promoting American trade and investment in Africa, we recognize the need for U.S. business to seize the many opportunities that exist. If the U.S. doesn’t, our competitors will.
“Working with the administration, we look forward to offering business insights to shape the Prosper Africa initiative as well as free, fair, and rules-based trade between Africa and the United States.”
