The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Futurpreneur to give the next generation of business leaders an opportunity to engage with some of the world’s top CEOs at the 2018 B7 Business Summit, which is being hosted in Quebec City, April 5-6, 2018.
“The B7 is one of the most important opportunities we have to share our vision with G7 leaders for inclusive economic growth and global prosperity. That’s why we want to include the perspective of the next generation of business leaders,” said the Hon. Perrin Beatty, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. “We are delighted to partner with Futurpreneur, Canada’s leading supporter of young entrepreneurs, to make this happen. I think they will make an invaluable contribution to our discussions.”
“The B7 experience will provide young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to participate in discussions regarding the key challenges facing global businesses today and the proposed tools that can be utilized to achieve greater competitiveness and economic prosperity,” said Mrs. Dawn Farrell, President and CEO of TransAlta Corporation, Director of the Business Council of Canada and Co-Chair of the B7 Summit.
“Two of the themes of this year’s B7 Summit are ‘Inclusive Growth’ and ‘Scaling Up Small Business’. Young entrepreneurs are really sensitive to these themes, it’s therefore essential to include them in these high-level conversations” said Mrs. Monique Leroux, Chair of the Board of Investissement Québec, Chair of the Quebec Economic and Innovation Council and Co-Chair of the B7 Summit.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for young entrepreneurs to see first-hand how business can influence policy, and how business organizations can come together around common goals,” said Julia Deans, CEO of Futurpreneur Canada. “We’re glad to be collaborating with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the B7 Summit Committee to bring young entrepreneurs’ voices to these important discussions.”
The group of young entrepreneurs selected will participate in the B7 Summit activities and attend the roundtable discussions with some of the world’s top business leaders. The themes of this year’s B7 meeting are inclusive growth, resource efficiency and scaling up small business.
